Backbone has acquired German company IMOGENT in a strategic move to strengthen its leadership in the DACH region proptech sector. The Geneva-based startup aims to become the European leader in marketing automation for real estate by 2026.

Founded in 2018 by Dorian de Vinck, Antoine Tomasini and Federico Leis, Backbone has become a key player in the European proptech landscape. With offices in Berlin, Geneva and Prague, the company has rapidly expanded across the DACH region, Belgium and Spain. Serving over 4,000 real estate professionals alone, Backbone has been revolutionizing the way real estate marketing and sales processes are managed since its inception. Backbone's platform significantly increases efficiency and customer engagement through its arsenal of products and growing SaaS offering, enabling 75% faster marketing production.

In a strategic move strengthening its leadership in the DACH proptech sector, the startup recently announced the acquisition of IMOGENT GmbH. This acquisition enhances its technological capabilities and expands its range of services. Contacted by Startupticker.ch, CEO and Cofounder Dorian de Vinck tells us: “With a carefully planned integration, we aim to accelerate our ambition to improve real estate sales and marketing processes by offering a comprehensive and efficient solution to accelerate property marketing. This expansion increases our customer base to over 5,000 users in the DACH region, consolidating our status as the leading marketing software in this sector.”

With a combined team of over 50 employees, Backbone and Imogent are set to push the boundaries of proptech, offering unparalleled ease and efficiency to customers navigating the European real estate market. Both companies are bringing together their extensive market coverage, unrivaled visual production capabilities, leading technology and scalable API integrations. This strategic merger creates a hub for real estate marketing services that now combines over 10 essential products and services that will soon be seamlessly accessible through a single, streamlined platform. By combining their resources, both companies are not only making it easier to access high-quality real estate marketing tools, but they are also preparing to launch an essential service for today's environmentally conscious market: Energy Performance Certificates and Assessments.

European leadership in sight

Speaking of the next steps for Backbone, Dorian de Vinck tells us that his startup will continue to invest in its product to offer its customers the best marketing and sales automation solution for real estate. “Our goal is to accelerate the sale of over 100,000 properties by 2025 thanks to our ecosystem.” The company has an acquisition strategy that will continue in the DACH market and the rest of Europe to become the European leader in marketing automation for real estate by 2026.
