The StartCup Ticino is a new competition for innovative business projects, conceived or realized in the Canton of Ticino. The winner of the Ticino StartCup 2014 will be awarded with a reward of CHF 50'000.
StartCup Ticino is a competition for innovative business projects that have been realized in the Swiss Italian regions of Switzerland during the last five years and aiming to give birth to a new start-up company. The purpose of the initiative is to promote entrepreneurship in these regions.
The winner of the StartCup Ticino 2014 will be awarded with a reward of CHF 50'000.-. The five finalists of the competition will also be automatically admitted to the Swiss Economic Award.

This initiative is promoted by the Start-Up Promotion Center and mainly sponsored by BSI and SWISS POST, in collaboration with USI, SUPSI, CTI and PostBus.
It is possible to take part into the competition by filling in an online application form available on the website http://www.startcup-ticino.ch/startcup/web/apply. Applications will be accepted until the 24th September 2014. The final event will then take place on Thursday 4th December 2014 at the Università della Svizzera Italiana, Lugano campus.
