Startup Battles during Digital Days go green and local

The 6th edition of the Digital Days takes place across Switzerland and features the GreenTech Startup Battle organised by digitalswitzerland and presented by Innosuisse to recognise the most outstanding innovations aimed at preserving and protecting natural resources. The GreenTech Startup Battles aim to promote Switzerland as a centre of excellence for sustainable technologies. 

This year the GreenTech Startup Battle is a series of events under the umbrella of the Swiss Digital Days 2022. It will take place in the 7 regions of Switzerland from September 5th until October 23th. The competition battles emphasise supporting startups locally due to the varying levels of support offered in different regions. Three startups per region (21 in total) will be selected to to showcase and present their innovative products or services in front of local key actors during the regional semi-finals.

The competition will bring together startups, established companies, public institutions, and investors to foster collaboration opportunities and relationships. Participation in the competition thus puts startups in the spotlight and connects them to other players at a regional and national level. The startups will also become flagbearers of their regions, representing them as champions of innovation and sustainable solutions.

At the regional semi-finals the jury will nominate seven companies to “battle” at the national final, which will take place during the closing event of the Swiss Digital Days 2022 in Zug on 27 October. The competition will award CHF 10’000 in cash to the winner and one year of co-working space.
