United Cargo, AirBridgeCargo and Singapore Airlines will lease innovative temperature-sensitive containers manufactured by SkyCell. With these partnerships with market leading carriers, SkyCell increases its availability in the U.S., Russian and APAC markets.

SkyCell is a Swiss-based, award-winning provider of temperature-controlled containers whose highly secure and efficient design features patented insulation and a special rechargeable cooling technology. Each container is equipped with IoT (“internet of things”) sensors that connect to SkyCell’s cloud-based, blockchain-encrypted software. These sensors monitor temperature, humidity and other factors to ensure the best possible protection against excursions.

The Swiss company is on a global growth course. United Cargo will be the first U.S. carrier to lease and transport the innovative temperature-sensitive containers manufactured by SkyCell. United Cargo delivers service via the cargo capacity of the world’s most comprehensive route network – nearly 4,500 flights a day to 339 airports operated by United Airlines and United Express. United operates a mainline fleet of more than 720 aircraft, including 170 wide-bodies, and United Cargo carried over 3.2 billion cargo ton miles in 2017.

SkyCell and Singapore Airlines (SIA), the market leader in the APAC region, have sealed a partnership for the lease of SkyCell containers to serve the demand in Singapore and the Asia Pacific Region. Singapore is a leading commercial hub for the development and production of pharmaceuticals and biologics for the Asian Pacific market. The rising trade flow of pharmaceuticals to and from APAC demands for a reliable and robust transport solution for valuable temperature-sensitive drugs and biologics.

AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) and SkyCell have sealed a close partnership for the lease of all types of SkyCell’s temperature-controlled containers. Russian all-cargo airline ABC is one of the global leaders in transportation of pharmaceutical products by air. With their close partnership, both companies want to meet the rising demand in pharmaceutical shipments. At ABC only, the global transport volume for such high-value shipments doubled in Q1 2019 to around 3,500 tons.
