HoliYou is the 11th startup selected for the Biopôle Vanguard Accelerator. To take on the drastical decline in fertility in many parts of the world, the Vaud startup led by Eugénie Vellieux is developing a novel AI care app designed to enhance daily support and monitoring for individuals before, during, and after Assisted Reproductive Treatment (ART). The aim: to boost success rates.

HoliYou is a digital assistant for stress-free procreation. The AI driven app developed by the team led by Eugénie Vellieux is pioneering a tailormade, personalized follow-up and transdisciplinary approach to address individuals' physical and psychological needs throughout their ART journey (IVF, fertility treatments, insemination), aiming to improve success rates. HoliYou is the 11th startup to join the Biopôle Vanguard Accelerator in Epalinges, Lausanne.

Contacted by Startupticker.ch, CEO and cofounder Eugénie Vellieux says: “the early-stage support provided by Biopôle Vanguard will empower us to address the market and business challenges linked to our project. Their continuous guidance, alongside mentor support, will consistently drive us to refine and enhance our vision for an effective and flawless go-to-market strategy.” When applying, HoliYou’s goal was to leverage the specialized healthcare focus of the Vanguard accelerator program, as it presented an opportunity to access industry-specific knowledge, connections, and resources crucial for navigating the unique challenges and regulations within the healthcare sector.

At Biopôle, HoliYou’s team plan is set to actively immerse itself within the rich and connected ecosystem. “By being physically present twice a week, we aim to engage with other startups, fostering networking opportunities, discussions, and organizing professional meetings within this vibrant and dynamic environment. Additionally, being situated at Biopôle lends us a professional address, which significantly enhances our credibility within the healthcare sector.”

Speaking of the coming months at the Vanguard Accelerator, Pierre-Jean Wipff, Innovation and Partnerships Director at Biopôle says “We would like to support Eugénie and her team to build a sound go-to-market strategy, to better understand the impact such solution can bring on the couples, their relatives and the fertility health care providers; both in terms of clinical and wellness-related outcomes.”

A robust roadmap for the upcoming year

After securing its initial grant from FIT Digital earlier this year, HoliYou is in the testing phase of its prototype. The team is validating its algorithm and the medical journey by collaborating with healthcare professionals across Switzerland, France, and Spain. Following this phase, HoliYou plans to engage a group of patients to test its solutions and provide them with feedback and testimonials. Eugénie Vellieux adds: “We are committed to deliver the finest application experience to our users, emphasizing product innovation and development. We've outlined a robust roadmap for the upcoming year, which necessitates support through a pre-seed fundraising round of approximately CHF 500K.” HoliYou’s journey began early this year for the team. The startup aims to start recruiting in the latter half of 2024.
