qiibee joins IBM’s startup program

qiibee is disrupting the loyalty program market by providing a plug and play solution with which companies can tokenize their loyalty points and store the reward and redemption transactions on the blockchain. The company has already reached more than 12’000 users across Europe.

The startup is now seeking to scale its business through collaboration with IBM. Recently, qiibee has been accepted in the ‘Startup with IBM’ program, which provides startups with benefits to help them bring their business to the next level. The startups will now have the opportunity to build skills through how-to tutorials and courses on IBM tools and open standards technologies, to launch new cognitive solutions with access to trials and up to $120,000 of free technology usage credits for one year to turn learnings into real solutions.

As part of the program, qiibee will also connect with IBM’s developer and startup community by attending exclusive meetups and events around technologies like Watson, IoT, Blockchain, open-source and more. With the support package startups can focus on solving real problems and ultimately help get their innovative products to market faster.

According to qiibee “access to more than 130 unparalleled services and IBM’s free Cloud credits will allow us to spread multiple qiibee blockchain nodes across the IBM network and enables new testing scenarios. Moreover, we are eligible to make use of their services including the ‘Watson mechanism’, the ‘IBM Blockchain’, their ‘Analytics tool’, and the ‘IBM Security’, and leverage network to help us scale on an even greater level and further disrupt the loyalty industry."

Further acceleration through OEB Venture Studio
In addition to being part of the IBM program, qiibee has been selected to join the Oregon enterprise Blockchain Venture Studio (OEBVS), an acceleration program for blockchain startups in Portland, (US). The program offers a platform for testing and launching blockchain apps and solutions, with varied partners set from healthcare, finance, education, tech, among others. Each participating firm was chosen to align with a varied set of Studio partners with a strategic region of concern.
