Just three years after foundation, 60% of Swiss start-ups begin to export.

Swiss start-ups plan for the global market right from the start. As soon as they are able to bring products or services to the market, they expand abroad: 60% of companies export after only three years, and that share rises to 80% after 10 years. Thus, start-ups contribute to the fact that Switzerland has a very high proportion of high-tech exports – 27% of all manufactured exports are high-tech goods, a larger share than in the US, the UK or Germany.
