A new innovative way to finance your company is gaining popularity for startups, scale-ups and SMEs. Tokenization allows entrepreneurs to reach for new investors as an alternative to debt or equity. The issuing of tokenized securities is now even possible under Swiss law.

This joint event by the Crypto Valley Association and EPFL Innovation Park will present the basics of tokenization for fundraising, including utility & security tokens, ICO & STO. This topic will be be illustrated by success stories of local Swiss projects.

Speakers 

Ralph Kubli, Director CV VC “Tokens as part of your business plan”

Ralf is engaged in tokenizing assets, building a robust Blockchain Ecosystem in Switzerland, and investing in blockchain startups.  His goal is to enable easy to use technology delivering on the promise of decentralization on a global scale. Prior to joining CV VC, Ralf built an AI business in the U.S. and before spent 18 years in automotive, aerospace, and specialty chemicals in top management.

Vincent Trouche, CEO Tokenestate “Finance your startup with digital securities”

Vincent is an entrepreneur who believes in the transformational nature of the blockchain, and in its potential to make investing faster, easier and cheaper. Over the past four years, he has launched startups and products using emerging technologies ranging from Virtual Reality to the Internet of Things. Vincent has previously worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company, and in commodity trading in China, Switzerland and Latin America. He holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from INSA of Lyon in France, and an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD.

Arnaud Salomon, CEO Mt Pelerin “Selling startup equity to the public”

Arnaud studied at the EPFL where he obtained in 2008 his Master in Communication Systems with a specialization in IT security. After a thesis internship at UBS Investment Bank in Zürich, he began his career in Geneva as a trader, first in commodities then in forex. At the end of 2012, he discovered Bitcoin and the world of the blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Quickly convinced by the vast potential this technology had to unleash innovation, he began to think about how it could be applied to the industry he knows best: finance. The project that would later become Mt Pelerin was born in 2014, and was selected for the 2016-2017 batch of the Fintech Fusion startup accelerator program in Geneva. The project was incorporated as Mt Pelerin Group SA on September 27th 2018.
